Welcome to AFCEA 東京 TOKYO, the Tokyo-based chapter of the globally renown AFCEA organization. We are a not-for-profit dedicated to STEM – science, technology, engineering, and mathematics – education, collaboration, interaction, and networking. We offer monthly educational seminars and professional networking events, as well as family oriented experiences such as our famous holiday party and other similar endeavors. WE. ARE. ALIVE! RESUSCITATION COMPLETE!
The past almost two years has been a major whirlwind for not just AFCEA 東京 TOKYO, but the entire world as we knew it. In the early months of 2020, when we opted to postpone TechNet 2020, we never imagined a global pandemic utterly transforming our lives to the level we are still acclimating to today.
Having said that, we have awoken from our long slumber and are still peeling the cobwebs off of our fledgling chapter. Although we continue to yawn and remove morning sand from our sleep weary eyes, we are interested in getting back into action. Over the past few months many folks have inquired about AFCEA 東京 TOKYO, and we are happy to say we intend to get back into the swing of things.

STEM EDUCATION
AFCEA 東京 TOKYO is a technology focused not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, and surrounding areas as a venue for educating and advancing professional knowledge on a variety of topics, with laser focus on STEM education. Not only are we a venue for presentations and networking, but AFCEA 東京 TOKYO also gives back to the local community in the form of STEM grants and scholarships for junior and senior high school students.
SCIENCE
Do you have an interest in science, such a aeronautics, physics, marine biology, dentistry, the medical industry, or other similar disciplines? Have you ever been fascinated by how the world works and wanted to dig deeper into the mechanics of it all? STEM-focused education can quench your thirst for knowledge and more. AFCEA 東京 TOKYO only dabbles in the scientific areas of STEM, primarily because of so few members representing this field. If you are into science, come help out!
TECHNOLOGY
Information Technology (IT) comprises the vast majority of STEM-focused education. Topics such as programming, computer hardware, hacking, cyber security, cyber threat intelligence, penetration testing, and the local, state, and national government IT policies around are all encompassed in the technology component of STEM. AFCEA 東京 TOKYO places a lot of emphasis in this discipline since it is a major area of interest for our members.
ENGINEERING
Engineers make the world work. From robotics to civil engineering to aerospace, a world without engineers means a world with little to no positive technological advancement. AFCEA 東京 TOKYO enjoys providing engineering-focused educational opportunities for the community, to help highlight the importance of this field.
MATHEMATICS
Mathematics is a common language everyone, for those of us who live on Earth or even though from across the vast unexplored universe. The absence of math means the absence of societal advancement. Comprehension of mathematics allows us to solve complex problems, leading to important discoveries to make the world a safer and better place for all of us.
